Half my colleagues still use XP. It is so archaic, I can't figure out why they would waste their time.

Really? Nice one! It's Belkin model no. F5D8053 V3 which I got as part of a combo...

There's no rush as I bought a Cisco G adapter last night to keep me going, but if you could find a driver it would be much appreciated, cheers

Most lightly because they don't need the features of Windows 7, and maybe because it's more compatible for them.

first good, i was right, your card is based on Ralink RT2870 chip.

USB (RT2870 /RT2770 /RT307X /RT2070 /RT3572)

problem is that it seems Belkin and Ralink broke their relationship. only version 3 of your USB adapter is based on Ralink, all future versions are based on Realtek chip.

This will take a bit of work, but you will have to mod the ralink driver and add your Belink device ID into it, which is: USB/VID_050D&PID_8053

that driver supports few manufactures by default

You have to do that with Linux sometimes because they change their chipsets so much, wireless being exactly that.

Got my copy of Windows 7 Pro in and installed. All is good, I went the fresh install instead of the upgrade just to have a nice fresh copy of windows on my PC.
