Our gamestop never has more than a couple dozen PC games on a little rack in the middle of the store. I've heard others say they didn't even do in store pickups on preorders for PC games in some places.

I wish ours had a bit more support for the PC.

Luckily our Wal-Mart has a pretty large PC game selection.

Yes but if the host is too busy downloading pr0n or whatever other crap he has then the server's connectivity will definitely take a hit to a certain extent depending on how much he's sending/receiving on both sides. You would never have to worry about this if you're playing on a dedicated server since its not P2P. Ive had experiences with P2P games before and even hosted them myself, and like whatever said many many times before the server host will have the greatest advantage over anyone else in the server - Zero Lag.

Further more, if the host's PC crashes or internet gets cut off, the entire match stops. Ive had many cases like these in the past when i played CS with a group of friends. Everyone had to wait for the host to restart his internet/PC and re-host the server before everyone can rejoin.

Just got back from Wal-Mart with my copy. Report back in a bit.

Edit: P.S., it unlocked just fine.

I couldn't take it anymore...

As much as i hate IW for what they have done, i went ahead and bought it anyway. Watching the live stream on multiplayer and seeing my friends playing it on Steam was just too much lol.

Installing as i type this out.

G damn it. I want to get it too, but that is $60 more in IW's pocket. I refuse to support them. If this game gets good sales on the PC, they will just continue on with IW.net

I played MW1 again tonight and had a blast with it, so I think that can hold me over for a good amount of time until Battlefield BC2 comes out. I absolutely refuse to give in.

From what i saw from the live stream there was absolutly no lag on multiplayer which was my biggest concern with IWnet and playing public. It is hard to tell from watching a stream but it looked silky smooth with no warping and the hit reg seemed good. In fact i'd say there is more lag on PB enabled public CoD4 servers but i will have to play mw2 myself before i make my final judgement.

First thing im gonna do is see if i can edit the mp_config at all.

I only played singleplayer, but daaaaamn is it awesome. People have said the FOV is too tight, but it seems exactly the same as the last game, so judge based on your experience with that.

Graphics options are the same as the original other than for some reason there is no AF settings. Maybe it is on max by default, I didn't notice any bad texture detail loss.
