Trying this today, also Office 2K7 was great IMO, I use excel quite often and I find it a lot easier to make graphs and such.

It'll get easier still, in my opinion

I've been dropping trend charts into a lot of my revenue based worksheets because it's an amazing snapshot with such little amount of work

lol like this is new news...

I've been using it since July. But all the comments are correct, it is extremely fast and a lot more intuitive than office 2007.

j/k

A lot of postings about software are about stuff everyone, or most people, can download, not just internal builds and distribution

...alright?

All you had to do was apply to be in the technical preview. Don't have to be a dick about it

How is it more intuitive than 2007? From what I can tell....everything is virtually the same with regards to use...

You're totally right. Your first sentence was very cordial and totally had no undertones.

And yes, you could apply to be in technical preview. Feel free to post a thread about the next tech preview so everyone knows

The ribbons are consistent throughout all the apps, you can change them around a lot more and a lot more of the standard commands and wizards are displayed in the ribbons now so you can do a lot more.

So yah, it is far more intuitive than 2007. Keep playing around with 2010 and you'll eventually see this borne out.

I just did a presentation today using powerpoint 2010, and everyone was so amazed by the new slide transitions.

I noticed word and powerpoint got quite laggy once you put loads of text and photo images into the file. Most especially when you start scrolling, saving the file and even typing text into it. Hopefully they get it fixed.

installed office 2010 on my laptop, so far generally i like it, not sure what to think about the new File "tab" would preffer the office orb to return.

they basically took the small office orb menu and expanded it to full screen
