My sister teaches preschool at a church and her laptop is the only computer the family has. I clean up XP every time I am over there, but last night I found cookies to many porn sites in the cache. I know my 12 yr old nephew did it, and I need to stop him.
It would be tragic if a porn pop up were to rear while she was using using it at work, and they are all click happy anyways. I need something lite on resources as the specs are really low on the machine. So please help me. |

![]() (Sorry I couldn't resist) I've been kind of wondering the same thing, but I haven't come across anything that's easy to manage. |

Easy to install, easy to configure, almost invisible, you can delete the icons and just use the web interface. Best thing is if anyone tries to guess the password you'll get emails about it. Can be used to block porn, violence, facebook, gaming sites, warez etc. I had the same situation as you. I installed this, not a problem since, except I changed the address emails go to as this kid was guessing it 10 times daily. Little noob. |

i set up at least 20 PCs with K9, great program.
highly recommended another cool thing is that if you try to kill the app, or mess with it in registry entire network connection/internet goes down ![]()

I tell my sis that every time I fix her laptop. They just don't see to understand that no, they do not need that codec or any other media players installed. Its not a good thing and the makers aren't trying to be helpful in providing a dl.

![]() Going to give this a go finally. Had someone trash a pc in only a couple months time with having updated service packs, AV, firewall, etc. This time I'm going to try using FF + abp + noscript, K9 web protection, MSSE, spybot, and limited user accounts. Hopefully it will keep the viruses at bay. |
