Hi
I have an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard, and I recently bought a GTX 285 1024 video card. I've been having a few issues, and I checked the setting of the PCI-E bus, and it reports the video card is running at PCI-Express x8 instead of x16! The bios was set to auto, but I changed it to Single Video card, and I checked the selector card on the motherboard, and it is also set to single video card, but I can't get the PCI-E bus to go to x16 for the video card. This is the only PCI-E card I have in the machine, so I can't figure out why it's stuck on x8. Can anyone help? Specs in sig.

Are you sure it's in the main PCI-E slot?
If it's a PCI-E 1.0/1 running at x16, it's the same as a PCI-E 2.0 @ x8, IIRC. So no need to worry about it. |
