Hi all
I installed nvidia driver version 195.42 on Fedora 12. When i restarted my system it is on 1024 x 768 resolution. i run nvidia-settings as root and changed the resolution to 1440 x 900 as i am using Acer 19 inch wide lcd, save the x configuration file and restarted the system. but again the resolution was set at 1024 x 768. I am using Nvidia Geforce 7300GT Card. Can any one help me. Regards Sajid Zaman |

Generally you can just let the driver automatically select it for you. Try replace your metamodes line in /etc/X11/xorg.conf with:
Code:
Option "metamodes" "CRT-0: nvidia-auto-select +0+0" |

i dont know why, but when i setup resolution from sytem-config-display to 1440 x 900 it worked perfectly fine.
Now what could be the reason? Thanks |
