So I just bought 7 Ultimate.

I'm taking it from a lot of the feedback that this is a decent move even if my Vista 64bit install is 99.9% problem free?

I think you will like Win7 more. I had no probs with Vista, but I like Win 7 better.

Cool, I'm looking forward to it. You got your mic working in 7 too, I'll have to ask you about that if mine gives me trouble. I know you miss hearing me gripe in L4D

If you use Firefox get the 3.6 beta. It has better Windows 7 support.

I'm not buying/using Windows 7 until NVIDIA fixes their darn drivers to work properly with CRT's Sorry MS. Looks like I'll be stuck with slow booting Vista for awhile.

****ing aye. I'm a rabid advocate for Opera, but can never use the damn browser because I'm so dependant of Firefox's plugins. Now that Opera has bookmark sync its better, but I still need good Flashgot, Adblock, and Flashblock alternatives.

What issues are you having? I'm running dual Samsung 997DFs right now. Are you talking about the refresh rate issue? Does refreshlock no longer work?

Edit: I ask because I've only played games (so far) in W7 that have the refresh rate set within the game.

It always maxes out my monitor's resolution (2304x1440) in games & when I try to change it to a lower resolution it just scales it almost as if it's running it in a window. Very quirky crap. NVIDIA 182.50 drivers are the only ones that have worked fine for CRT's (at least mine) in Windows 7. I have an HP A7217A 24" 102lb CRT

I've been avoiding any upgrades lately, but this is one I'm glad I went with.
