Notebook LCD + VGA out + HDMI out - does it work?

Hello,

my HP 8510w has HDMI and VGA out. Is it possible to have all 3 screens seperately working? Right now i can have LCD + VGA out OR HDMI out working...

No, the hardware can drive at most two displays at once.

So ... does EXTERNAL video+audio over HDMI work? I have a Compaq 8510w laptop with Ubuntu 9.10, and I can only get video working... driving me crazy since it "works in Windows"...
