Default 190.xx to 195.30 OpenGL Performance Impact ?

Hello Nvidia & Fans

I have updated my Driver from 190.42 to 195.30 Today and noticed everything-3D became a notable Performance Impact. Unigine Tropics for example dropped from 35 to 29 fps, other 3D apps like Celestia, Savage2 and wine Games are affected as well. I am using Fedora 12 x86_64 Gnome 2.28.0 with Kernel 2.6.31.9-174, Xorg Version 1.7.1 and Compiz 0.8.2 is always enabled. My GPU is a GTX275. After Re-Installing the 190.42 Driver I have my old Benchmark Results back. Just curious because I heard the 195 Series is great and fixed Performance Problems for KDE Users. Is there any particular reason for this problem or something I can tweak in 195.30 ?

Thanks in Advance and Merry Christmas Days.

I can see some slowndowns in KDE, but I'm not sure if it is due driver change, but will test further.

Maybe because with 195.30 they're piping more 2D RENDER stuff through the 3D engine to get it accelerated?!

I played some Nexuiz the other day and didn't notice any slowdowns. (8600m GT)

try to enable "loose binding", you can fin this option when installing compiz fusion icon from your distribution's repository. don't ask me what it does, but it helped a lot in my case!

Thanks for the reply's

Loose Binding was enabled before. OpenGL Performance with 195.30 is inferior regardless if Compiz or Metacity is the active Window Manager, i switched back and forth with both Drivers and ran the Unigine Benchmarks a few Times. Maybe its something like ledoc mentioned above or the disabled UseEvents feature ?!
