I've never had one single crash with 7 nor with Vista. I had a few crashes with XP, but it was related to hardware issues. I seriously don't understand why people are getting crashes left and right like this.

The OP should fix the title to say; 'The most stable Windows operating system ever?'.
He has the right title. It is the most stable.

Yes it is, I just ordered my third copy of win 7 home premium, at the Egg, for 89.99 OEM.
Going to install it it rig #2 whenever I get a pair of Nvidia Fermi video cards.

My point is; I don't go around making such sensational claims with such arrogance.

Yeah, WTF was I thinking, posting in a thread that I disagree with.

Sorry, I must have accidentally posted in the fanboy part of the forum as well.

I'm experienced with both Windows and Linux and I've used Linux for well over 10 years. I can say that Windows 7 is 'not' the most stable OS ever.

All I'm saying is; No one can come up with such statements based on 3 months of release time. Apple claim having: "The fastest web browser in the world". To me and a lot of people, that's pure arrogance.
