So weird, the slave card (the faster one), still appears to be starting with faster clocks, until I force a downclock in EVGA precision.

Also getting some graphics glitches that appear to be driver-related? Using the newest WHQL's. Ah, SLI.

I keep my Quad fans at 40% default. 60-70% when gaming. No auto for me.

Its not that wierd really. SLI now for a long time has allowed multiple shader/clock domains to work with SLI. Which is why its typically better to put the faster card in the primary. The faster clocked card will not overclock the other cards.

I was getting issues with the faster card as primary, which seem to be resolved now. And now my faster slave card still appears to be starting with faster clocks, though I have since synced them.

You're saying that I shouldn't have gotten errors for have the cards at different speeds?

Nope. You shouldn't have to sync them at all.
