Default best way to replace mobo/keep OS and not bork it?

I got some parts off eBay (that turned up after a freakin MONTH!!) and am wondering which mobo to use as my main

Will the p5q oc much better than my trusty p5b?

I owned the P5Q pro for a month or 2 and it overclocked my E8400 to 3.6 with no sweat, never used the deluxe so I can't comment on that.

It would help me if it was a POS so I wouldn't have to swap the mobo but just the cpu/memory

I managed to break one of the push pins so no OC'ing for me for a while yet (bolt thru on the way).
