Put simply, if you buy a Monster brand HDMI cable then you are a fool. I have bought cables from MonoPrice and they work great.

Black cables with red tips are better. That's what Necro said.

My brother ran 50 feet of monoprice HDMI cable from his gaming rig in the basement, across floor boards of the house, across electrical wiring, and over appliances with absolutely no visual anomalies on a brand new 42" 1080P LCD.
That cable cost him around $35 shipped. If someone can show me an unbiased review that shows a real world difference between a low priced HDMI cable of any length and an expensive cable of any length (I don't care if its 50ft vs 3ft) I'd love to see one.

I bought 3 of these last month for my xbox/pc/bluray and I highly doubt you can get a better cable than this for the $$

They have pretty good deals on Amazon to, I always look for the red tipped ones.
