Dedicated physx card

Hi all i wanna buy dedicated physx card to my GEFORCE GTX 285 what good card can i use it?
MY PC :: CPU 920 corei7 3.8gGHZ/RAM 6GB 1600 3*2 /BOARD gigabyte EX58UD4P / VGA geforce GTX285/monitor HP pavilion W2207 / HDD WD 1TB + WD 500GB /sound XFI TITANUM /SPEAKER CREATIVE GIGA WORKS G550 /PSU GIGABYTE 1200W / CASE FULL TOWER GIGA BYTE 3D AURURA.

Note :: i use my GTX 285 to rendering graphics & physx in all GAMES IN full details like full antialiasing 16XQ & full anisotropic 16X & FULL DETAILS IN ALL GAMES did the dedicated card for physx do any thing with my geforce GTX 285 like bettering the graphics or details or physx or just increase some frames or no thing to do.
if they do huge different plz tell me & tell me what the good card can i use to see the different ?

An 8800GT or higher will give you an improvement. Just depends how much extra heat you are willing to put up with.
Question: You really from Iraq? How much is a computer like that there?

Yes an 8800GT or GTS 240 (its re-badged equivalent) will do fine.

sp's are more important than memory or so they say

If you have physx enabled on the 2nd card the improvement will be your framerate.

I have a GTX280 OC @ 702/1404/1215 as main and i'm using a GTS250 DK 1GB OC@ 828/2054/1050 and i got almost the same performance that when i was using my sister Gigabyte GTX260 OC version also overclock to 700/1500/1188.

I would say the GTS250 is more than enought i got more 20 to 30 fps in almost every title that uses the second card as dedicated physx.
Cryostasis its the heaviest one i found i got only like 10fps more but i think its the GTX280 also lacking of power. On Batman its very nice to see the extra effects you get in high physx settings.

Also before this GTS250 i tried a gt220 and a 8800gt, the 8800gt just runs to hot and noise got like 15 fps improvement, the GT220 its just to weak giving me only like 5 to 10 fps improvement.

I would say from my experience to go for GTS240 or GTS250 if u have money go for gtx260 but in my point of view and experience its a waste.

My 8800gt has an Accelero on it so heat and noise were not an issue

In fact I ran it passive (no fan on the heatsink itself just using the front case fan)

ok thanks to all i will wait GTX480 GF100 & see what this monster to do.if they do big different i gona to buy 2 or 3 SLI card GTX480 & enable the physx & see what the different.

Also waiting but i will not buy it until i read reviews and make sure its a stable card. I prefer Nvidia and Intel hardware but i think this time Nvidia its in a hard spot, not even physx will save them if the new cards are not good, because with the drivers physx patch, i think i'm going for a 5870+gtx280 for physx.

Don't know yet but 1 or 2 more months and we will see.

yes the price doesn't matter to me.bcz nvidia the top & im happy to pay any $ to nvidia card it is best of the best & i told all i play with monster details if I use 3 or 4 or 100 cards from ATI like 5970 they dont give me any performance like one GTX 285. i like nvidia bcz nvidid is the flag of performance.with my apologising to any one have ATI cards.thanks to all.
plz i wanna programme can overclocking the cpu of my laptop.
my laptop laptop HP pavilion dv 6820ee CPU intel 2 GHZ C2DUO centrino | ram 4 gb ddr2 | hd 250 GB | VGA 8400 MGS.

The problem with Laptop overclocking is not only does the BIOS usually not support it, but the coolers aren't good enough to keep the CPU cool enough. Not to mention the short battery life. If you really want to have a go, the place to start is the BIOS to see it allows you to alter the FSB
