Box should be arriving any minute now... looking forward to it, though nothing can take me away from Mass Effect 2 right now.

Fun game, The intro alone is great. Really gets you wanting to play. The who gathering gameplay to me is a let down, I wish you could actually have the little sisters lead you rather then a smoke trail. The game also seems to focus heavily on combat compared to the original. Your fighting alot of the time.

The characters you meet are interesting, others you really don't care too much about. The big sister is great when shes stalking you but the times you fight her seem meh. Dr. Tenenbaum for some reason looks significantly different from the original...

Graphics are ok, no worse or better then the original but there are low res textures in some parts that even get me say "wtf is that!". The game plays smooth but the mouse is alittle too sensitive. The audio work is still top notch, everything from the music to the voice work is still to the quality of the original.

Oh yeah i've been playing through Mass Effect 2, i must say it's one of the Best games i've played in many years

And the fact that i played through Mass effect 1 just so it would be fresh in my mind, then i started ME 2 and it's been Awesome

After Finishing ME 1 i felt like i had just read a great novel, plus being able to continue the story in ME 2 with my ME 1 character was a huge bonus.

Back On-Topic
But anyway i can't wait to play Bioshock 2,i may play through Bioshock 1 again so i'm up to date.

Funny thing i had a dream there was a pre-load for the game on steam

A few beefs with the game.

1. Why do I get bashed by splicers and killed? I don't feel as powerful as a big daddy from Bioshock 1.
2. Every bad guy has guns. What happened to wrenches?? again, you just dont feel as powerful
3. I'm always outta eve, drill fuel, ammo, etc.
4. I never have enough money
5. As big daddy you are a lumbering, sluggish hulk

Its hard to do anything without getting killed. Theres not enough of the things you need to survive and you are slow. Been playing about an hour today I love the hacking/remote hacking though.

I haven't died yet... You just suck. Yeah you don't feel as strong but I think thats because you are the original which didn't have the capabilities of the newer models.

You can usually one hit kill enemies with a nice electro bolt follwed by a drill melee.

Does the mouse feel better than the original? I never thought it felt perfectly fluid.

It's fluid but really sensitive.

So far -- I am not imprsesed. To me, the graphics don't look as good as the first one. The attention to detail does not seem to be there. For example, in the opening scene, when you stand up in the puddle of water -- try looking back down. You'll notice there is no reflection of yourself. I've seen many things in my first 30 minutes of gameplay that have already set the tone for the rest of the game. I guess I was expecting a tad more.

It may well be because it is multi platform so they couldn't go to hard on the graphics or consoles would suffer.
