this ain't that easy.. I also have sometimes this problem. that the tooltip text hides behind the taskbar. Only thing you can do is logoff / logon again.

And I am not running any style(rs) for WinXP.

Although my screen shot used a hacked windows theme, I mostly see this problem at work, where I have the default W2k theme, and on another computer with default WinXP theme.
