Question [root@T1000 lawrie]# konqueror Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0"

I installed NVIDIA drivers the other day but find that they are not as good for doing audio work with as the standard 'nv' driver. Now that Ive uninstalled them I get a message
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
Xlib: extension "GLX" missing on display ":0.0".
when trying to start some programs. What else do I need to do to restore my previous configuration? (using RedHat 9)

I believe that if you:

Reinstall/Freshen the XFree86, XFree86-Mesa-libGL, and XFree86-Mesa-libGLU packages then restore your XF86Config file to original form (replace "nv" and uncomment DRI and GLcore if present).

you should have it working in tip-tip shape.

(Your apps require better 2d performance than the 3d driver was supplying?)
