They might have a short introduction telling us about it. Maybe they will tell how they got their but kicked on the island and had to fall back again but then humans started losing country after country with this unstoppable enemy.

I think a 8800gt will play it just fine seeing as its a console game.

But the PC Version will still have higher quality settings, much higher settings, i doubt a 8800GT can run it max settings on 1920x1080 with AA.

Thankfully GPU's have advanced quiet a bit since the initial release of Crysis, but Consoles are still much further behind.

A game whose core engine was built for the PC but made to run great (assuming it does) on lowly consoles should run pretty awesome @ console settings on a PC with 2 year old hardware.

Yes, i heard from a insider at crytek that you could run on Veryhigh settings with 30+ fps with a quadcore, 4gb ram and a single 9800gtx+

We'll see about that ^_^

there's new video for Cascaded Light Propagation Volumes for Real-Time Indirect Illumination.
A nice little addition to the tool chain of Cryengine3, I'm pretty sure that developers will be happy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPQ3BbuYVh8

It is currently implemented on all platforms.

That video shows it at one of its higest quality settings. I'm sorry but a gtx285 should be able to manage more than 1280*720.

Actually the tech is quite independent of display resolution as it is done in world space.
Performance is affected more by the resolution of the propagation volume.

Here's the slides and paper about the subject.

It is also good to know that there is no pre-processing so scene can be fully destructible.
