So is Stream from Ati, altough I havent heard lot's of people complaining about that..
![]() I do agree that Compute and OpenCL is a very good option, now that it is finally possible to write code for it. Happily it seems to be that many developers are making the change for it, although Cuda and C++ has some nice interest as well. |

Are you dense or dumb? I really want to know because you seem to have a problem grasping the concept of CERTIFIED DRIVER. They can release a SDK 3.0 tomorrow but still only have drivers that are in "BETA" until the group that actually CERTIFIES the drivers for OpenCL complaince says Driver X is Certified OpenCL version whatever. And right now, Nvidia has released 4, yes 4 CERTIFIED OpenCL compliant drivers where as ATI has yet to have one pass certification.

Absolutely true, but at least that i've heard of it,they aren't being protective to the point of ignoring that direct compute or OpenCL exists and can do the same things stream can in the end,and Nvidia marketing does keep pushing Cuda pretty hard no matter if in the longer run,GP-GPU computing can make a much larger impact when there's unified standards that works on all hardware. What's keeping CUDA alive is that it was the first one out and there's a much more developed software infrestructure for it than either Direct compute or OpenCL,which are still in their first steps. |

Ahem: http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/video/d...L_Drivers.html Pay attention to this part very carefully, which i linked to earlier: Quote:
The stream SDK 2.0,has OpenCL drivers included, including production versions, implying non beta... |

It's true,we are seriously off the main topic at this point, and i take my fair share of the blame here, but regarding the GTX 470 and GTX480,it seems we have to wait until Cebit to find out final clocks, and have a better clue then,at least when it comes to floating point, texturing and fillrate abilities. |

And that it is even more suspicious you'd spend some hours after the request for receipts trying maintain your charade but you still wouldn't post the receipts? What's the matter? The guy with $2000+ worth of graphics equipment doesn't have a digital camera, or know how to hit the "prt sc" key? Uh huh. You're right, it's outside the realm of possibility you're a viral marketer. You could have just posted the receipts in less time than it took you to make the many posts saying you wouldn't. ![]() EDIT: Hey! You're an old pro at posting FUD for ATi! LOVE your comments about the 2900XTX "monster" <snicker> http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show...ht=2900&page=2
