As the release is tomorrow, any predictions on weather SE has a patch waiting to fix the hair issue?

They could patch both, there is quite a bit of time between pressing the gold master and shipping.

The game uses A2C on most alpha surfaces on characters and environments, icluding trees and certain small detail on crystals.
This is clearly design decision and I would quess that they simply didn't want to sort all those polygons and thats it.

So my vote is that they will never patch that 'issue' on any machine.

On x360 the problem with it is smaller resolution and scaling to 720p, this means that dithering is scaled as well and that looks bad.
