I played Prey, FEAR 2, Wolfenstein, Dragon Age, Modern Warfare 2, and Mass Effect 2 at release and they all ran fine, with the exception of some crashes in ME2. Have you ever seen games in wine?

Does wishing make software better? wine isn't just for Linux, and Linux doesn't fail because wine doesn't match Windows on their assorted component implementations and quality of those implementations, because gaming is not its sole purpose. And I'm pretty sure Windows wasn't built overnight by a handful of volunteers.
Alright homo, back to your creepy linux section of the forum.

Yes, I have. I am interested to see some videos of their performance. And don't tell me 30 FPS at 1024x768 is fine.

EDIT:

Hmm, impressive: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManage...sion&iId=18348

To be honest, the last time I gamed on WINE was 3-4 years ago. It must have come a long ways since then. Back when I ran it all the games ran like poop. Then again, Linux itself is progressing very quickly.

They tried that, here's the end result:

The good news is that they hit 10,000 FPS in Crysis for a minute.
