"We increased the fan-speed to 80 per cent (<4,000rpm) and then used EVGA's Precision tool to force up the clocks. From the default 700MHz/1,400MHz/3,698MHz clockings for core, shader and memory, respectively, we hit 800MHz/1,600MHz/ 4,224MHz, representing a 14 per cent increase over stock. System-wide power-draw increases from a peak 475W to 525W.

Looking a the 2,560x1,600 results, Far Cry 2 (8x AA) performance rose from 54.91fps to 61.3fps and DiRT 2 DX11 from 50.69fps to 56.78fps. "
From the Hexus review.

Yeah they are a bit high given the extreme cooling they have. Looking good apart from that though! Still waiting for MikeC's and [H]'s reviews before drawing any conclusions!
Vardant's quote = watercooling baby!

The load temperatures are pretty worthless without information about the noise though... if the monster fan is really running at >75% then it might be pretty loud. Or it's not so loud, then the temps are fine.

Haha yup love how people we're saying that the 5970 was going to pwn the GTX 480. Who's laughing now?

Most of the benchmarks are good for NV though, except für Crysis - I don't expect more than a 20-25% average lead.

They didn't use Dx11 in those benchmarks so they carry no weight imho. :/

Wow, the power consumption for a single GTX 480GPU... But I guess it doesn't really matter for a top of the line product.

I'm looking forward to especially see Hardocp's review and MikeC's review on here.

After almost 6-7 months, Nvidia had better be faster than AMD, and it seems they are going to deliver. There are some variables, but they may be driver related.

Still, not sure if AMD should be immediately worried. They still have very good and efficient cards.

EDIT: What the... Even the HD 5970 uses less idle power and full power under load than a GTX 480.

Looks like a memory controller problem, the memory itself should be able to run at 1250MHz without problems.
