Resume and boot unreliable with 195.36.15

Resuming from suspend is rather unreliable with 195.36.15 on my 9400M G. About one in four resume attempts hangs at a black screen.

Also, about once every two reboots the X server initialization just hangs at a black screen. I've seen this happen mostly when power cycling after a failed resume from standby. I don't reboot often unless I have a hang after resuming, so I can't really tell if it happens on normal cold reboots too.
