Pre-ordered a single Gainward GTX 480 today. I have two 120mm fans, will point one on the heatpipes and one on the grill under the card... should be interesting how temperatures will be, if it won't bring it down enough (under 90C load) I'll probably get an aftermarket cooler I'm very excited, will be a sweet upgrade.

Hope they built these well or we'll start seeing dead GTX 480s everywhere. Still I think watercooling might be the only solution for SLI'd rigs with this one.

Its just recently i set up a profile on rivatuner for my GTX285 fan speed. I have 80% fan kicking in way earlier than default driver version and have noticed a 15c drop in load temp since i did it. |

I got a Prolimatech MK-13 not sure if that'll be enough to cool a 480gtx without it sounding really loud.

So out of all the different brand GTX 480's which has the best air cooling? (ie. custom maybe?)

Personally i'm going to try and get 2 of the EVGA with the factory watercooling blocks on. I have heard they are clocked at 750 on the core and run at 45 degrees under load.
