There is alot of things turning me off of Fermi, i'm not sure what I was expecting on performance in all honesty but nothing has absolutely sold me on it. I think Tri-SLI well serve me will at the very least until a refresh.

I AM impressed in the 2560x1600 performance fermi offers though!

This is what scares me the most though:

We're aware that a single GTX 480 does run hot on it's,so even disregarding the power issues, what would the tempertures be like when the cards are so close together like that, and that at least 3 cards have their fans partially blocked,so it's hard to take in fresh air,and i'm also not even considering the noise issues either.

I would never attempt the above without using water cooling, using a dedicated loop just for the video cards themselves.

I am not impressed with Fermi. I will wait for the refresh and then compare it to the ATI's refresh parts. ATI cards are starting to look very appealing.

They were first in stock out of the three I wanted....I was so undecided, I had to do it that way.

I really enjoyed the 5000 series and cant wait for the 6000 and NVs 500...I have a feeling they'll be releasing some awesome GPUs this year.

Its a fun time to be a PC gamer

I hadn't thought about that, Nekro, thanks for pointing it out.
