Lee hows everything with your cards?, How come no feedback yet?, I'm waiting on some feedback, won't get my 3 470s till thursday the 15th.

Yeah, after my GTX 280 I never trusted auto fans again. IMO, they keep them too low to keep noise down. I'd rather have a little more noise than a chip constantly at max temp range.

Just make sure you guys get these cards soon. Some sites are already upping the price of the 480's by $100 or more.

I don't have my case back from powder coating. I want to wait until everything is in my case so its real world..prolly gonna be this weekend.

I have no complaints so far though

Yeah, MSI Afterburner makes it really, really simple to make a new fan profile. As soon as I installed my card it was the first thing I did. Now the card runs cooler and there actually isn't any more noise because ramping the fan up as the temp goes up, instead of waiting until it's too late like the default fan profile, actually keeps it from getting so hot that the thing jumps to really high speeds.

To be honest I think that's related to evga precision

My 9800 GTX stayed at 35% fan speed for some reason today hitting 105 C..... I rebooted and it seemed to work fine (auto fan speed)

I was able to grab one (EVGA SC 480 GTX) from the EGG this afternoon and seriously I think I was checked out within 30 seconds. I was one of the lucky few lol, My status shows as shipped, woot!

egg has them in stock almost every day since the 6th of April between 3pm and 6pm central US. Once they show up, usually sell out within 5-10 minutes. so you have to be quick and pay attention
