still a great engine and it feels good to be back in Liberty City which still feels like a living world, have just started GAy Tony and it seems pretty well fleshed out and the motion capture is still great adding to the characters beleivability
If this game ran @ 60 FPS with AA. I'd never leave my house.

Neither do I, went retail, Live updated it on release day. Maybe this is the "outside of Live" release, those have been delayed before.

Anyone have an offline profile save for Gay Tony? Even a few missions in would be nice.

i got the steam version and it hasn't been patched since release so far, since installing 1.1.1.0 i've had no texture popping and i can run everything high/view distance @ 40 with ~30-60fps.

Nope.

I opted to just watch the ending cut scenes for both endings on Youtube. Really ticked me off that I couldn't finish it man.

I managed to do it but my wife was saying something about it's some kind of bug stopping her from getting into the helicopter.

I restarted the story mode a few months ago but I haven't played it that much. I'm nowhere near the end but I'm still curious to find out if it would work this time or not
None of the patches ever specifically mentioned fixing that, but yea I hear ya, someday I'll replay it.

Well I looked and my unpatched since day one game is still 1.1.1.0, so I dunno what the answer is there.

People say it's a bug, but it's not a universal one... I never had a problem getting in the chopper, PC version right after release.

Allright i have solution that will maybe work, it worked for me if its same problem...
I couldn't pass this point where you have to climb on heli on last mission, so i read it somwhere 2 months ago...
Anyway because its console port and its looked on 30 fps because of optimum playing, and with higher fps than 30 you must type spice a lot faster which human hand cant do, so if you have dual or quad core CPU's, you have to go to task menager and when you reach point when you have to climb on heli, go to task menager, right click on GTA exe and then to option set afinity, unmark all your cores, but leave 1, so fps in game will drop, but you should be able to climb on damn heli, when you climb on heli, go o task menager again and mark all your cores and and kill ****ing Pegorino...
It worked for me
