Wasn't too bad - it's just this laptop that is incredibly slow and benefits from any speed improvements it can get.
Wish windows had an application install widget like ubuntu.

For your ancient laptop, DSL and Puppy are far better option, having said that, Ubuntu runs far better than XP or Vista on my seven year old P-III Vaio.

I had some issues getting the nvidia drivers to install but that seems to be fixed now. Other than that 10.04 does so far seem to be a very big leap from 09.10.

... it has a very... Apple feel to it... minus the price of an Apple of course.

Yep. GNOME has always tended to go that way but Ubuntu is taking their desktop that way even more(titlebar buttons on the left, monochrome panel icons).

You guys should try KDE4.4. Some Windows 7 features with more innovative stuff. You can install it by searching for "kubuntu desktop" in the Ubuntu Software Centre.

I made this video a while back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEuapaLJF8g

Haha, I just like giving you a hard time about it.

I haven't been on my Ubuntu laptop prolly in two weeks. Droid has been taking up my time lol.
