480 temps great on air with nice oc. - Page 3

I set my A/C in my apartment to keep things at 75 degrees but the thermostat is in the living room and my bedroom is always a bit hotter if I have my PC and television on, which is most of the time.

My ambient temp is 75 also. I run a lancool pc-k62 with 140 in the front (2)140's on top and (1)120 in the rear... so airflow is not the prob. I'm wondering why some people are getting better numbers then others.

I put an Antec Spot fan at the back of the cards (where the power connectors are) as well as 2 x 60MM above the mounting brackets on the back of the case. This ensures a clean airflow over the cards and makes sure that the hot air is being evacuated.

Is the back of your case free of obstruction etc (not too close to the wall etc)?

it is close to wall, and i definitely dont have a fan setup like yours, I will try and report later

Best to make sure that there is plenty of space behind the case so that the hot air dissipates quickly.

This is my FurMark burn test at 800/1000 OC. My first card gets ridiculously hot, because my motherboard forces the two cards right up against each other. Although its back down to 50/36 at idle now. I rarely ever see temps go above 80C while doing normal gaming though, or in Unigine or 3DMark.

Why yes they are.

jAkUp had 3 GTX480's running using the 1Kw Corsair. At least I know mine will handle 2 of these in SLI.
