No, Ninja. ATI's paying off all those mean, scumbag, cardboard-box-living reviewers to say Fermi's inFERiorMI. Thats what it be. When the fact of the matter is the card rocks harder than Ozzy Osbourne.

It's a sick world.

Wow, you know this has never even crossed my mind before.

That's a great tip.

I run with vsync and triple buffering on at all times. Not allowing the card to render frames that can't be displayed in the first place seems like it would improve efficiency significantly.

The performance of the GTX 480 is astounding, easily surpassing the GTX 295 in all my games without the SLI hassles. You should definitely get one of these cards. I don't know why so many reviewers are biased against Nvida. Maybe they all read Semi-Accurate? Once the REAL word gets out on these cards, they'll be even tougher to find!
true, really hard to say what the hell was going on with these reviews.

runs cooler then my GTX280

There must be some kind of magic going on, I'm pretty sure. The facts and reviews say: Card is hot. Hotter than GTX 280, 236W vs 250W, and it actually often exceeds its 250W rating. Card is loud. Louder than pretty much any other card. Actually measured with microphones. However, people who buy them, subjectively say, "oh its not bad, its not really hot, ect." Some wizard probably cast level 9 videocard cooling spell on them.

I really don't understand why people deny it, like their life depends on it, and need to make threads and posts denying it and saying otherwise, the evidence is there a million times over, just accept it and move on. If you don't mind either of those two problems, good, but don't go on a misinformation spree about it, it just makes people(me at least, and appearantly Xion) think you're some kind of viral marketing shill.

Who do we really believe?'Professional' reviewers or people trying to 'justify' their already made purchases.I tend to lean towards the professional reviewers.

Yeah clearly the reviewers are all insane, just ask MikeC, site owner here, who did a review pointing out that it was hot...

It might be a completely different story when the card is in your case, 1-2m away under the table. The card might not sound as loud to you anymore. Besides your "distracted" by the ingame sound anyway.

Plus some review sound tests were just stupid, like over at HardOCP.
Yes that is true. All the reviews I read had pictures of the Mic's right next to the video card. That in itself is insane, every card would be loud like that. The simple truth is inside that case, they aren't loud at all if your case has adequate cooling.
