Can you post some technical links about it. I tried to Google it and can't find any. DX11 should cover what DX10.1 can do plus much more. Just my guess plus I didn't see other benchmark using it.

Don't have any links mate, I just know that's the highest setting that the COP benchmark allows for that option.

Well it's the highest setting on either Nvidia or ATI for that option mate. If there are higher settings, I don't know how to enable them.

I was not questioning about the highest setting for DX10.1, was just wondering if there is a need to set both DX10.1 and DX11 at the same bench.

Since you volunteered to answer the question for Blacklash I assumed you might know more and provide some documentation about it.

I never said you were "inept" or "confused" or were "lying." It could come down to a simple margin of error which is why I usually place precedence on professional reviews since you're usually guaranteed the same hardware configuration for each card. This usually doesn't happen with user reviews. Most of our setups differ in one way or another which can cause abnormalities in performance.

I'd have to say I'm slightly annoyed with newegg atm. I ordered the card right around 5PM EST 4/19 and put the rush processing on it and it didn't even leave their warehouse until 11:41PM PST 4/20.

Makes me wonder if they were selling them before the parts were actually there. Now I have to wait until Friday for my new toy.... Bastards...

If you disable DX10.1 the highest quality of transparency AA is not selectable. When left off you may select DX10 high quality transparency AA only. They seem to have decided to implement transparency AA as a DX10 or 10.1 choice. It works fine combined with DX11 Ultra quality lighting. If you want specifics, ask them. I wanted to test the highest quality of transparency AA available stacked on top of MSAA so I needed to have DX10.1 enabled.

If you want to discover this for yourself, download the bench and try it. You do not need the game to use it.

DX10 will be the highest AA option available for A tested objects if you disable 10.1. If you tick 10.1 the 10.1 AA option will appear under AA for A tested objects. I'd suggest you restart the bench when you change advanced settings to see if they saved correctly. If they did you will be able to see it when you open the advanced options area.

Again, my experience went like this; 1440x900 with 4xAA and 10.1 transparency AA all on or maxed = smooth with Crossfire X, 1920x1200 all on or maxed sans AA = smooth with Crossfire X, 1920x1200 with 4xAA and 10.1 transparency AA all on or maxed = frequent hard pauses that caused a subpar gaming experience.

I should note the CCC was left at driver default values. Things like "edge detect" were not used. I got the same behavior with my cards @ stock speed or overclocked.

Rush processing only works same-day if you order before noon pacific time, as I recall.

I get that, but I would expect it to go out the next day early, not over 24 hours later.
