I've been trying to get TV-out to work with no luck. I am running Suse 8.0 and I have the nvidia drivers working fine (version 3123). Glx works great.
I have a leadteck Ti4200 with DFP, CRT, and tv out (svideo). Here is what my XF86Config file that contains the stuff for video out: Section "Screen" DefaultDepth 16 SubSection "Display" Depth 16 Modes "1024x768" "640x480" "800x600" EndSubSection Device "Device[0]" Identifier "Screen[0]" Monitor "Monitor[0]" Option "TwinView" Option "SecondMonitorHorizSync" "30-50" Option "SecondMonitorVertRefresh" "60" Option "MetaModes" "1600x1200, 800x600 @1600x1200; 1024x768, 800x600 @1600x 1200; 800x600, 800x600 @1600x1200" Option "TwinViewOrientation" "Clone" Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT, TV" EndSection With this above config, I get the error dump when trying to startx with an error saying 'cannot find sreens'. If I change the ConnectedMonitor to just "TV" and startx, X gets loaded to my tv just fine. But when I change ConnectedMonitor to "CRT", nothing happens, just black screen, I can't even CTRL+AlT+F1 out of it. I have to reboot my computer. I've seen other people use the above config and it work for them. Why does this not work for me? Thank you for your time. |
