i was doing the fan profiles thing for ages using Rivatuner (on the older nvidia cards like GTX280, 8800 GTX), help a lot with temps.. MSI Afterburner is based on RT but with support for GTX4x0 cards... Hopefully Rivatuner will be updated since it is a much more powerful utility
