I'm going to have to agree. I don't usually wine about stuff like this but, it's pretty bad. Dirt 2 and Dragon age run like butter on my system, but this game for some reason I can barely get to run smooth.

Prototype? How is it like Prototype?

As for Gears of War, that was straight-up shooting for 6 hours... I guess you could play Conviction that way, but it was not meant to be. The shining moments of the game are the predatory hunt and kill levels, where you stay hidden and pick people off. They never did that in GoW.
It just seems odd as to why you mention "economies of states" and prices of games... I sort of see what you mean, but this ain't McDonalds, is it?

As far as feeling like Prototype and GoW - I mean the actual movement of the character.

ugh game doesn't run as well as I would like on my 4870.....

Why can't new games all be as polished as Mass Effect 2?

Unreal 3.5 vs unreal 2. I think they took Unreal 2.0 to the limit with SC C. Consoles are holding PCs back so much right now.

Too bad it wasnt done in DX11 - oh yea, the idiots and their R_RoD Boxes wouldnt be able to play it - the travesty...

I actually prefer the look of this game to Mass Effect 2.

Been playing this game for a couple of days now and just got to the Whitehouse. I played Chaos Theory and completed it days before the game was delivered to me. All I can say is that the more I play this game, the more I miss the old Splinter Cell. This game is average at best, although it was clearly designed for action more so than stealth. The shooting mechanics also suck at that. Multiplayer also sucks. I love the great use of SSAO though. Really well done.

It does not really matter what engine, rather how much there is to process, as well as how.

I am not that impressed with the game at all - it just does not feel like a splinter cell game and it does not run that great on a GTX 470. I am at the fairground level and the framerate is all over the place 25 to 45 fps which is not great for a very average looking game by today's standards.
