So DX11 increased my BC2 load times a ridiculous amount! Also lower my FPS by 20. When I went back to DX10 my FPS went from low 30's to mid 50's. Anyone think this will get better with DX updates?

It's a driver issue with the long load times with BFBC2, ATI had the same issues with their 5000 series and DX11 as well, but that was corrected in a driver update. Hopefully NVIDIA will fix theirs soon as well.
BFBC2 isn't really a good showcase for DX11 either. It also isn't a strong game for team Green also, as ATI consistently gets better benchmarks in that game. For a much better implementation of DX11 on NVIDIA cards, look at Metro 2033 or DiRT2.

What makes you think it wouldn't lower your frame rate? DX11 opens up new features that your GPU has to render. If you don't think the extra effects are worth the FPS, just use DX10. As for the slow loading times; that's a problem which will be sorted some time soon I'm sure. But you can't blame that on DX11. That's down to drivers. ATI had the same problem but updated drivers sorted it.

Yeah I think the benchmarks where the 4xx cards were coming out way ahead were the ones where they were running in dx9.

DX10 and DX11 are a joke IMO, I just don't see the big difference between them and DX9. It's all hype in my eyes.

If you honestly can't see the difference between Metro 2033, Dirt 2, AvP, and Stalker: CoP in various DX modes you should go to the eye doctor. Either that or you just aren't very observant. |
