Good stuff Grey you will enjoy it.

Capn that's some much better temps. I put my system fans on high and it dropped my 470's temps by 10 degrees. Was playing BC2 and my temps never reached 80

Thanks Rummy and nekro - all the positive user feedback was impossible to ignore. Can't wait, should have all new build parts by Saturday - I hope.

Not with volt-modding software, and definitely not with Fermi. Fermi sees big gains from overclocking.

Over 23% improvement in one benchmark here.

It was the Cryostasis benchmark. I don't really have any games that have built in benchmark utilities, and I don't know if I could get consistent results by just running games with Fraps.

I'll probably give it a try some time though.

I'm running the card at 750\1500\1875 at 1.050v and in the Cryostasis benchmark it tops out at 82C! This is much better than in my old case. At these clocks its probably a 15-20C difference, and I don't even have my bottom fan speed set to high. Once the weather gets hotter I'll definitely need to crank it up a notch or lower my overclocks (its only 55F here right now) but for now, this is good.

My benchmark scores have also gone up, so the overclocking is actually doing something. Going from 600/1215/1674 to 750/1500/1875 in the Cryostasis benchmark (with my 250 doing the Physx) increased my average FPS from 48.1 to 57.5... that's nearly a 20% increase in average frame rate! My minimum also went up from 29 to 34.7, which is also nearly 20%.
That's great news CaptNKILL congrats.

Lot more positives on here than anywhere else, but I guess that makes sense on an nVidia fan site.

I am seriously completely baffled by which card to get next week when I get some cash. 5870, GTX 480 or 5970...

Someone just tell me what to do so I can be done with it.
