While 30fps limit suck on pc ... It is very common on consoles and combined with motion blur and analog stick movement it gives a buttery feel anyway.
But 30fps on pc?! NOW ****ING WAY |

![]() How can you tell if something is laggy by watching a video? When talking about game performance, "Laggy" means that the display doesn't immediately respond to your input because the frame rate is too low (if you press a button between frames, it has to wait till the next frame to show what happened). Besides, that video was probably compressed to 24fps and interpolated to fit YouTube standards. This can't be done in real time, and it doesn't solve the problem of input lag. Still, I haven't played Split Second, so I can't comment on the performance of this game. Without a demo, I won't be playing it though, because I generally do not like the look or the feel of games played at 30fps.

Look from personal experience playing the game on PC with my rig the game feels smooth. No lag at all. However the thing that does annoy me which wont mater to 99% of everyone else is hor- not + spport. Which means NO Eyefinity OR NvSurround. when PURE (same engine) had hor+ support and did support Eyefinity native.
That said its still a fun game.

Some games feel fine at 30... I know damn well Crysis did. It depends on the game, and Split/Second feels fine to me... I never had framerate issues in the demo.
Combine that with word that the high setting includes AA and this game actually has split-screen on the PC so I can play with my girl and you have pure win in my book. I plan to get it after I make sure Blur isn't better.

Blur has 4-way split-screen, at least on consoles.

Had nothing to do with it. I used a CRT myself and had the same problem.
