I've been using Steam exclusively for several years now. Prices may be higher than retail for US/UK/AU residents, but for me this means the ability to get original language versions instantly (previously, I had to import games and wait a week or two for them to ship, as local stores only have localized versions in most cases).

Retail ftw.
Bottom line: Steam is limiting and complicating what I can do with my purchased game. Can't install games exactly where I want, less user control patching, another DRM layer, less user control hacking/mod'ing, game permanently locked to an account and another app or client required.

Retail definitely, do not understand why steam (or D2D)?
It's nice to see a collection of CD/DVD hits neatly arranged in a glass case ![]()

thats only for warhead, and same applies to retail version of game
before you uninstall you should run EA de-authorization tool, it will revoke the activation and you are back to 5.

Steam all the way. If you know a little trick, wait for weekend deals or price drop. I've saved even more than retail. My brother who prefers retail over steam and ended up spending a lot more than me just because he likes to have box and discs in hand.
Now that Steam supports Mac and you get free Mac copies from certain games which makes the deal even sweeter. Most retails don't offer that. Steam isn't going anywhere soon.

However, if you can revoke the activation, then I don't have a problem with it.
