The giantbomb quicklook actually sold me on the game... the main issue for them seems to be that it is not as fluid and precise as a shooter, but that is because it is an RPG. It does not have player-driven shooting like Mass Effect 2, it is more like Fallout 3.

Well I still have it preordered but with most of the bad reviews I am a bit worried. I keep thinking maybe I should cancel it but there really is nothing else to buy that I really want.

Watch that quicklook, it should really tell you everything you need to know. www.giantbomb.com.

Considering you would be doing alot of shooting and its all done in realtime as a shooter then it needs to be taken into consideration.

Well why do I have guns? Stop acting like an idiot... I know it isn't a straight up shooter... that doesn't mean everything you do only has a "chance" to hit even if you are aiming right at a persons head.

LOL. That was a little bit of fail there nekro.

Game looks good. I might grab it. Shooting looks like the system from Bloodlines.

I am not saying I absolutely WILL NOT buy this sometime... just that the shooting mechanics look REALLY frustrating.

If it is an RPG and your aim is stat-based then no, aiming right at someone's head does not mean insta-head-shot. That is not how RPGs work. See: Fallout 3.

I understand the crosshair being bigger at a lower stat... but if you crouch and wait for your crosshair to get small and then aim at a persons head and it misses somehow I feel that is retarded.

Again, NOT saying the game is garbage or anything. Everything else about the game seems great (except the voice acting)... but the shooting really scares me.

I think the QL is a bad way to judge the shooting ability because they chose the background that has the worse gun skills. If they would have picked soldier they would have had 3 points from the start in shooting.

Yes, but I doubt I would pick a soldier either, and I feel that a spy shouldn't be THAT bad with guns.
