Seems competitively priced with the 5850, but I bet the 5850 will still come out on top in some situations. Mostly the 465 will edge it out in heavy tessellation scenarios and engines that favor nvidia cards (Far Cry 2, Metro 2033). What I want to see is how these do in SLI. I bet that's where they really stand out.

5850 does way better than it on all test and is $20 more, the 5830 radeon is comparable with it at $50 cheaper, $230

Really?
I read the 5830 is comparable to a gtx260 at higher resolutions...

Look at the official GTX 465 review on here... The card they reviewed it against was the 5830. It usually can beat it but comes pretty close to it. But I will bet there are a few cases where it is near the 5850 as well (Metro 2033).
Guru3d has a GTX 265 SLI review and I think it will be VERY foretelling in how the rumored "GTX 490" will perform. For the most part it outperforms the 480 and just barely trails the 5970 and 5850 in crossfire. But in some games where SLI scales better it comes out on top. |

Maybe he somehow got hold of a card without having to sign an NDA? dunno...
The 2-year warranty must be a mistake on newegg because the evga site says it's limited lifetime. |
