Hello,
When sound is being passthroughed, there is no problem of course. The problem is with passing 7.1 LPCM to my reciever, it seems like the channels are mapped wrong, speaker-test proves it is. Please advise, Thanks |

I have heard others mention this; the usual resolution is to configure ALSA to remap the channels in /etc/asound.conf. ALSA documentation should have the details.

Unfortunately I can't help you there (XBMC), though if you tell it to use the same ALSA device that you've remapped, it should work.
I'd say it's a bug in the snd_codec_nvhdmi module, except that for some people it works fine and the mapping is correct--go figure. |
