G210 with alsa 1.0.23, driver 195.36.24, wrong channel mixing

Hello,

When sound is being passthroughed, there is no problem of course.
The problem is with passing 7.1 LPCM to my reciever, it seems like the channels are mapped wrong, speaker-test proves it is.

Please advise,

I have heard others mention this; the usual resolution is to configure ALSA to remap the channels in /etc/asound.conf. ALSA documentation should have the details.

Thanks, i've managed somehow to get it right on speaker-test, still struggling with XBMC

Unfortunately I can't help you there (XBMC), though if you tell it to use the same ALSA device that you've remapped, it should work.

I'd say it's a bug in the snd_codec_nvhdmi module, except that for some people it works fine and the mapping is correct--go figure.
