Default PowerDVD Hardware Acceleration

Is there a trick to enabling this in PowerDVD on a MX420 PCI without it locking up after less than a minute. Software plays fine, albeit with higher CPU usage but I'd like to use hardware if possible.

For specs, see my sig for mini-me.

I'm kind of thinking that now - just tried it with 30.82 drivers, no difference, except being WHQL it wouldn't let me play my DVD's with TV-Out enabled. As mini-me is only connected to a TV that's a slight problem

Back to 30.30's, sometimes it plays for a minute, then I get green blocks all over the screen before it locks, other times it just stutters and locks.

PCI bus can't handle the amount of data that is required for hardware acceleration.

Just to add:
It will saturate the PCI bus within the frame

Doesnt work for me either.. If I use that and 5.1 sound it will lock. I have to turn off either 5.1, or Hardware acceleration... So, thats a no brainer.

Have u update to the latest version of powerdvd? I had problems once i went to drivers 28.32 and higher (PowerDVD would look like your accessing a cable channel you dont have..wavy lines different colors etc) also for tv out, try dvd genie, macro vision could be enabled not allowing it.

This thread is incredibly old and we have no idea how to help you. If you have a problem, feel free to post a new thread with the problem, your hardware, and what you've tried, and we will try to help you.

Thanks for using the search feature, though
