Default Lockup with VDPAU playing more than two streams simultaneosuly

I was playing around with VDPAU to check how well it could play simultaneous x264 streams.

It turns out that playing two x264 streams with mplayer works flawless but when you launch the third instance of mplayer with VDPAU decoding the graphics driver hangs (i was listening to music at the time and the music went on playing, so i assume it is a lockup of the graphic driver)

i tried this with both 256.29 beta drivers and with 195.36.24. And the results are the same.

my mplayer version is MPlayer SVN-r31309

Is this a known issue?

Greetings

Under ubuntu 10.04, using VLC with VDPAU enabled, I've opened three or four movies at once and let them play, just to see if I could. Occasionally I still do it by accident. I'm using 197.45. I don't know if your video card matters. I'm using a GTX 260/216.

Ballfire, could you please upload the videos you're using to the NVIDIA file drop (see forum sticky post) and provide your exact MPlayer command-lines, and the order you're running them. We'll see if we can reproduce this. Thanks.
