Well maybe I should have watched more because the common line of thought from Deus Ex fans seems to be "OMG CONSOLIZED GARBAGE!!!!"

I think it's more likely that like Fallout fans they are whiny pissants who want the same exact game again though.

Didn't see the footage but the 3rd person mode for cover and finishing moves doesn't sound good to me.

Deus Ex was long for a FPS but it really wasn't that long of a game, about 15 to 20 hours to complete on a normal playthrough. Since the levels were very open though it could take longer with exploring or just dependant on your play style.

But it looked great. You are not firing in 3rd person ala R6:Vegas. It goes back into First Person when firing... just while navigating cover its in 3rd person.

Really not much to judge anything by in those vids.

I didn't see anything Wow! at all in those vids. It was mostly just walking around and cutscenes. The minor game play with cover, auto-take down move and pad interactions were pretty uninteresting.
