What is your hardware? Flavor of linux? Self compiled kernel? What was the command you used to try to build the kernel module? Did previous nvidia installs work? Is this a 64bit system and a 32bit nvidia driver? Yeah, some of this info can be gleaned from the log but why make people dig for it? We're happy to help but help us help you. |

What distro is pardus based on?
As far as I know, usually you should have a linux-headers package (/usr/src/linux-headers-blah) for that specific kernel. |

I might be wrong but what I see is a Gentoo base, but except from that a distribution with its own uniqueness. linux-headers?? did you mean this below..?? akbar-pardus src # cd linux-headers-2.6. linux-headers-2.6.29.6_23-1-rt/ linux-headers-2.6.31.13-131-pae/ linux-headers-2.6.31.13-131/ akbar-pardus src # cd linux-headers-2.6.31.13-131 akbar-pardus linux-headers-2.6.31.13-131 # ls arch Documentation fs ipc lib Module.symvers scripts tools block drivers include Kbuild Makefile net security usr crypto firmware init kernel mm samples sound |

Is the issue building the kernel or installing the nvidia drivers? From the posts above it looks like you can't get the kernel to compile. Do you have all the needed -dev tools and build tools for your distro?

`make prepare` only works for full kernel sources.
Please, install a development package for your running kernel. |

"I think" is not equal to "I do have".
Please, ask at your distro forum. We cannot help you any much, since NVIDIA drivers are known to install without any problems if you have everything set up correctly. It seems like you have messed up with your installation. |
