Is it me, or did Rage look really great all-around in that video!? Wow!

That's probably because id Tech 5 was built to run at 60fps on PC/X360/PS3 and Cryengine was only modified. I still think Crysis 2 will be the better looking game, on PC.

Graphics isn't just a technical thing. Rage has some art direction. Oh, and it isn't just some simple buildings.

I'm glad kirby took it. They're doing something different with the graphics and it's something that besides kinda like little big planet, it's not been seen. Tech5 and Cryengine 2 are impressive but it's nothing we haven't already seen and I think for once they're judging the graphics quality not on how many polygons it can crank out but more on style and visual appeal.

For me personally, I would enjoy looking at crysis or rage any day over kirby but games with that more artistic approach are really nice to see in their own way and I don't feel like I'm missing anything when I go from playing stalker or dead space or mass effect to 3D dot game heroes or little big planet.

Now the Kirby fans can mock the Crysis 2, KZ3, Reach etc fans!

But seriously it's an award by a few people and their opinion is not worth more than any other person. And as said opinions.

I'm going with Crysis 2 for the simple reason of "it's not BROWN!". ID makes good engines, but seriously, does every ID game have to be dominated by browns?! At least they discovered blacks and reds for Doom 3...

There is a lot of artistry in more realistic games too, people seem to forget that. I do agree that trying new things is good though and games like Borderlands and Mirror's Edge look amazing with their stylized graphics and tech specs combined.
