I can't say why, but my idle temps for my sli gtx 480's has dropped. Meaning when I don't have evga precision upping the fan speeds and idle for a long time, my temps for my cards have gone from 75c to about 50c. I don't know but maybe the gtx 400 series cards need a burn in time or something like that because it's the only logical explanation I have for my turn of fortunes.

first day i used my 480 on avp temps were like 104 deg c and since then haven't really gone passed 91 deg Celsius
