Over @ r3d, the P&R is big like it is over here. But if you're not inclined to be a part of it (many aren't just as many are), you can simply not select to join it. Just go to User CP, group memberships, and there's a check box for P&R forum. If checked, you can see it, if not, you can't. It's really simple and easy.
I'd like to see that implemented here, not because of dislike for our P&R forum, but because r3d demonstrates that it can be a simply executed Choice, and I like that. Your thoughts?

I feel like people who don't want to be involved in it just don't go in there. If you notice, there really are only a handful of people who regularly post in the P&R section.

I agree with ViN. If you don't wanna take part, stay away (as, I think, most do

Like I said though, over @ r3d it's a nice and seamless opt in/opt out, using probably the same vbulletin we use here. Plus it gives uses the option to actually not have to see the P&R stuff if they don't want to.
I'm just throwin' it out there, as it seems so dang easy, simple and right how they're doing this over @ r3d, as their P&R section just like here is loosely moderated, inflammatory and controversial. And it's not just a handful of posters here posting in our P&R forum, sometimes P&R posts end up making up a majority of the new posts list. ![]() Anyway, I've made my point about this, I don't think this idea is a bad one, and I wanted to let people know that within vbulletin there is a choice to configure things like this.

I'd like to see this for the Testing forum at times. I hate that when you're viewing the top level forum that the Testing posts usually show up as the new thread instead of something more legitimate from the Open Forum.

I would say yes it would be nice to be able to not see Obama crying threads in the new posts search for the next few years.

I'd like to see DD be more partisan. Is there a vbulletin setting for that?
