Default Hdmi ycbcr444 Linux

Hello,

I have a laptop with an 8400gs and hdmi output, on windows I can configure hdmi color to ycbcr444, but on Linux (ubuntu) don't know how to do it.
Someone can help me?

Hi, I would want to know the same thing. In windows (Vista) my two GTX 280 works only when I configure the digital color model to YCbCr444, otherwise I get flickering. I have 180.22 version of drivers and I can't find the same option in then nvidia-settings :/

Hi!
Sorry for double (triple) posting.
I just wanted to know if there is some technical restriction which prevents the changing of digital color format from rgb to ycbcr444 on linux, or is there some other reason why there is no such option in nvidia-settings?
Just need to know if I'm waiting for the fix in vain, or is it possible to implement at all.

br,
wants to use Kubuntu, but can't because of heavy flickering

Currently, the Linux driver doesn't support YUV 4:4:4 output. In at least some cases, the HW itself does (obviously, since you have it working under Windows!) We're investigating enabling this feature under Linux. However, it's too early to definitively state if and when this feature will be added to the Linux driver.

However, I'm curious about the flickering you get in RGB mode; why is that? I believe RGB should work correctly. Can you describe your problem in more detail? Thanks.
