I see the 1Gb version of the 460 trading blows with the 5850 in the reviews i have seen. I guess it depends on the type of games the person wants to play/settings for eye candy / performance and price. But, the 1 GB version seems quite good for a mainstream solution

![]() Both the 5850 and GTX460 (1GB) seem to offer this. And the GTX460 seems to be considerably cheaper. However, it does tend to run ever so slightly hotter, and consume more power especially while under load. Though both cards are really close and the GTX460 is considerably cheaper. So torn. ![]() |

It comes with a voucher that allows you to choose between Dark Void, Resident Evil 5, or Street Fighter 4

Dang it, Kal, you've gotten your terminology all mixed up again!
![]() Just great, now I'm mixed up too. ![]() Entry Level (GT 220, 5450/5470) Budget (GTS 240, 5550/5570) Mainstream (GTS 250, 9800 GT, 5650/5670) Performance (GTX 460, 5750-5770) Enthusiast (GTX 465-480, 5830-5970) ... right? And then adding SLI/Crossfire to the mix mixes everything up further. ![]() .. because of the GTX 460's performance vs GTX 465, IMO it pokes its head into the enthusiast category while remaining in the Performance price range.

Do you guys think its worth preordering a 1GB EVGA GTX 460? (like this one http://www.evga.com/products/moreInf...s%20Family&sw=)
Im going to be out of town between the 21st-2nd so I dont know if theyll go down in price or just be sold out everywhere... might be worth preordering and have it waiting for me at home.
